Hidden Cameras Capture The Reality Of Racism On Video & It’s Painful To Watch

hate speech racism

With so many horrible things happening in the world right now, it’s only natural to feel overwhelmed and helpless sometimes.

Violence, injustice, hate crimes… how can any one person make a difference against such HUGE problems?

They say “knowledge is power” and “words are weapons” but how can we actually USE either to change things? Is it even possible to make the world a better place?

I have to believe it is. And videos like this one may just be the way to do it.

When a man receives a message on Facebook from someone he doesn’t know, in a language he can’t read, he asks strangers for help.

Hidden cameras capture the whole thing on video and it’s almost too painful to watch.

Shock and disgust can be seen all over their faces as one stranger after another read the hateful, racist, and threatening message. Some totally refuse to translate it.

A few people, including one young child, do tell the man what the message says, resulting in some incredibly intense interactions.

Watch as these complete strangers are forever changed by a single Facebook message…

Then remind people of the power of words by SHARING this with everyone you know.

Just a heads up: the video has text and subtitles in Lithuanian but don’t worry, the audio is in English.
