5 Songs That Will Make Even The Worst Days Better

Music is like therapy for the soul. It gets us feeling great when everything seems to be feeling so down. We have all had those days where we turn to music when we feel that everything else is just too much. It can inspire us and enliven our moods.

Here are 5 songs that will make even the worst days better. Check them out and let us know what you think!

1. Corinne Bailey Rae “Put Your Records On”

Although perhaps not the newest of songs, Corinne Bailey Rae’s happy tune “Put Your Records On” is still a favorite. With catchy verses and sweet acoustics in the background music, this song sends a subtle message of being simply relaxed and worry free. With lyrics such as “summer came like cinnamon so sweet” what is there not to enjoy! The video is even more relaxing reminding us of a warm summer day as Corinne rides a bike down country lanes and lets ribbons fly from her hands in the cool breeze.

2. Sting “After The Rain Has Fallen”

Maybe a bit biased here because Sting is one of my all-time favorite artists but the tune “After the Rain Has Fallen” on the artist’s sixth solo album “Brand New Day” is upbeat and full of beautiful lyrics. The album earned a Grammy and has other inspirational tunes including “Desert Rose,” “Big Lie, Small World,” and “A Thousand Years.” Sting never ceases to amaze us with wonderful music and inspiring lyrics to leave us thinking and feeling great.

3. Pharrell Williams “Happy”

This 2014 song is not only catchy it boosts of lyrics getting people in the mood to dance and live a free life! Pharrell Williams wins with this tune and not to mention the crazy and fun video that showcases many people dancing down streets in their best and happiest way possible. If you have not heard this one, than where have you been!

4. The Cranberries “Dreams”

Released in 1993, this one is perhaps not as known as others but that does not make it any less perfect! “Dreams” by The Cranberries is not only encouraging and upbeat, speaking of a deep love, a dream come true, it is revitalizing and connects with the soul. The Cranberries, originally from Ireland, are an awesome alternative rock band! Check them out and enjoy the pleasant and unique singing of Dolores O’Riordan, the main singer, vocal talent.

5. Macy Gray “Beauty in The World”

Last but not least but surely inspiring is Macy Gray’s 2010 hit “Beauty in the World.” Perhaps most known for her earlier song “I Try,” Macy does it again, bringing a sensational hit made perfect with her unique vocals and singing style. “Beauty in the World” also has a great video with dancing and happiness all around. Not to mention, Macy’s fantastic curls shaking all around as she sings of enjoying life and being content. What a refreshing song!

The list does not stop here! What are some other songs that get you through bad times? Whether simply instrumental to A Capella, music can really help give a boost to our spirits! So do not underestimate the power of music and hope you enjoy the tunes on this list.
